Family is important, but they grow so fast. Life often gets in the way and we forget about how small our children once where.

Let us capture these moments with images you can treasure. We can organise your family photo shoot to either be outdoors, in our studio or at your home. We will sit down with you and work out what will be best for your family.

Dont miss the opportunity to have these loving memories captured for eternity.

WHAT TO WEAR

Deciding what to wear for a family shoot can be challenging. We have thought of some tips that might give some insight into what we’ve experienced in other shoots and that might help in the decision-making process.

  1. Will you have everyone matching, or would you prefer everyone was wearing something different or unique.

White shirts and jeans keep it simple and elegant and will fit with most backgrounds. Or if you would prefer different colours, that will work too, we just suggest keeping them as similar to each other as possible. You should also consider where you will be displaying your pictures, and if any of the wall colours will clash with the colour of your clothing.

  1. You can use accessories to add character to any outfit and they can give your images that extra touch.
  2. Limit patterns. We recommend avoiding patterns, if possible. It may distract from the final image and keeps everything uniform.
  3. No to characters. Even though your little one might never want to take off their Toy Story or Frozen shirt or dress, but it is better if you can convince them to remove it just for a little while, it will also help in keeping things uniform.
  4. Plan ahead. Try not to leave outfits to the last minute.
  5. Don’t shy away from adding a scarf, a belt or a tie. Similar to accessories, these can help to add character to your images.
  6. Consider what background you would like and how this will work in with your outfits. For example, wearing black clothing while standing in front of a black backdrop can give the impression that we’ve photographed floating heads.
  7. Think classic. Through our experience, we believe by choosing simple clothing, you will allow for images to be truly timeless.
